Small Business
Intranets
PowerGroups can be used as your company Intranet, because
it is designed to provide 20% of the functionality you'll use
80% of the time. Scheduling meetings with co-workers and clients,
sharing and managing proposals and other documents are some of
the features that are already built in.
Managing Document
Revisions
Let's say a few of your team members must produce a proposal.
Create the first draft of the proposal with the Documents Tool
Tab in a Category named the 'XYZ Proposal.' Each member of the
team can subsequently copy and paste the previous version, make
revisions, then subtitle it with a version number and date. Since
the Document Tool Tab automatically links documents within the
same Category, it's a simple task to review the revision history
of the proposal.
Centralized
Communications Hub
If you belong to a trade association or non-profit organization
whose members are constantly playing telephone tag, burning the
fax machine at both ends, or using EMail to schedule events and
get feedback from members, creating a Group to handle these and
other day-to-day communications needs is a snap with PowerGroups.
Simply create a Group, invite key players to join, and your association's
centralized Communications Hub is a reality.
Product Catalog
Using the linking feature in the Document Tool Tab, you can create
product catalog pages that are automatically linked by Category.
Simply upload the graphic for each product to a Picture Document,
fill in the Category field, add the product description in the
Caption field, and the Document Tool Tab will automatically link
all the products for that Category together for easy browing by
employees, customers or other members of your Group.
High School
Reunions
Have to plan a High School reunion? PowerGroups' Meetings Tool
Tab can help you track who's invited, who's attending and who
won't be able to make it. Build anticipation for the reunion by
inviting classmates to join the Group, and soon they'll be exchanging
addresses, anecdotes and pictures of their kids.
Family Groups
You may have hesitated sharing personal pictures and information
on your web pages for all the world to see. But by creating a
secure, private Group for your family using PowerGroups, you can
not only share pictures and stories with only family and friends
you invite, but you'll be able to share accurate family information,
phone numbers and addresses as well. The Meetings Tool Tab can
even help you plan your holiday get-togethers.
Special Interest
Groups
If you belong to a club or other organization, create a Group
and invite members to join. PowerGroups provides a more secure,
personal and spam-free setting for discussions than Newsgroups,
and adds web applications that simple web pages just can't provide.
Maintain a membership roster, poll your Group, provide text and
picture uploads and downloads, share those hard to discover web
links and more. It's a safe and secure environment for all your
SIG's activities.
